The film begins with a chase of a young man in the jungle, apparently by a strange creature. It appeared that the young stranger had superhuman powers, could run very fast and jump high. After a few minutes the young man is killed by the creature.
Elsewhere, a beach to be exact, this other young man, suddenly starts squirming in pain, he had left a scar on his ankles. Then it begins to emerge a kind of energy from his hands, loses consciousness. Then when he wakes, he finds an older person, apparently was his guardian.
He says they have to move and change his life again, name, school, friends, etc.., He initially refuses, but ends up accepting it in a bad way.
His new name is Jonh Smith (too common in U.S.). At his new school he meets a beautiful girl and a boy a little odd that loved the stars, even confident that there was life on another planet because his father was engaged to conduct such research.
The main story of the film is that Jonh Smith is a kind of alien with superhuman powers, apparently there are 8 more of his kind, the first 3 had already died, he was the next, number 4. Another race of aliens engaged to hunt and kill them (I forget the reason).
After some scenes of persecution, John Smith teamed with another young girl (apparently the number 5) and try to stop their hunters.
In the course of history, the guardian of Jonh Smith is murdered, and ends up falling in love with the beautiful girl he meets in the new school, however they have to let go for not putting her into danger. Jonh Smith travels with the number 5
